GOODBYE 2006, because in just a few (two I think) days time, 2006 will be gone and in no time, 2007 will be gone, and in no time, our rgs life will be over AND IN NO TIME WE'LL BE WORKING, so on and so forth. But ya, in any case, I be there was something to remember from our freshman year in rgs so...
and here I go again on another of my emo rants.
So before I start spouting any more nonsense, I just want to say that...erm...
1) Treasure the past,live for the present and embrace the future, whatever they throw at you...

Dear 104,
How long has it been since we met? 10 months?
It isn't a very long time, but I think most of us have memories that could last forever.
Okay, I'm not going to write some long winded, romantic post but I'd just like to say : THANK YOU to all of you. You guys have truly made RGS a GREAT experience, and without support from each other, I don't think we could have made it that far emotionally.
We've grown a lot throughout this year, and changed a lot as well (I hope for the better), and made MANY COOL FRIENDS! yay! Yeah, you guys have truly given each other a lot of support, and especially for me, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. so cliched, but I mean it.
WELL, the year is coming to a close. Tomorrow is the last day of the year. It's gone so fast-- though we may wish it to last forever, NOTHING IS FOREVER,so I suppose we should treasure our friends and whatever we have now, and appreciate them or whatever. yesh.
Don't forget each other: don't forget me! You won't forget me. Haha. Okay, but seriously, it isn't nice to forget your friends. IT'S A SIN. heh. If you see each other around the school, SAY HELLO! hmm. Oh, and yes, there's always the class trays...so....get the picture? WRITE TO ME! Okay this seems like a self advert but...yeah.
Okay, I don't think we're that easy to forget. From orientation to house prac, to napfa test,national day (THANK YOU ALL!), drama nite, netball carn and many more events, we've shown that oneohfour is not just made up of a bunch of names written on a class list, we are DEEP. heh. If you get me.

Hello oneohfour.
*Sigh* larh, I guess this is gonna be my last post of the year. ): But I'll remember oneohfour forever. Oneohfour's my first class I've ever seen so bonded, enthu, and is also the first class in my rgs journey who made me adapt to the new environment and helped me along 24/7 of every 365 days. Thanks for the support you gave me guys. Morally and physically. Muax, luv you guys.
Especially the time where tang lao shi took my books and refused to return to me. I was crying like a big, big baby but thanks sam, wy and brendy who comforted me and brought me to lao shi and she finally returned my books. Thanks so, so, so much. I'll remember that. <3
I can't believe it's two more days and everybody's going their separate ways. I hope one day on the streets and recognize each other (for those who happen to look alike even after 10 years down the road). But face up to reality guys, prove me wrong that you're still keeping in constant contact with your primary school friends, besides those who are still in the same school with you. *aww* I don't think so right? anyways I don't too. *Laugh* But you'll still remain in my heart. Cheez, hope ya'll remember me too. *innocent, innocent face*
Let's hope during the next few years we'll be able to keep up with the craze trend of the newest and latest Koren serials/dramas so we'll have lots to talk to when we see each other along the corridors of the assigned sec2s block. How nice it would be if I would be in the same class with all of oneohfour next year, but that's not possible. That's not bad either, you get to mix with new friends and bond together as another class. Not that I'm being ironic or what, yeah, but...
Today's net carn is what really affected me the most. It is today which really impacted me that oneohfour is a really, really bonded one. I guess you didn't notice it but we were the only class actually cheering for the netballers the whole long they were playing, esp tienli, yu jia and du xuan. Those are ones who I heard cheering for the whole long while. In case nobody noticed, we were cheering "Let's go oneohfour let's go; let's go oneonefour let's go; let's go oneohfour let's go..."
Great cheering guys. I didn't hear most of you cheer, because I was sitting at the other end of the court and it was most probably too far. I knew you were all cheering larh, cos I saw your mouths moving. Any sounds came out, that I don't know. But I trust you larh. lol. I felt so happy whenever our class scored a goal. Those were the times that united and binded us.
Win together, lose together. Teammates.<3
Gosh, then there was one incident where Huizi scored the goal then everybody was clapping and cheering; julia, standing beside me, was like crazy then we followed to hug each other out of joy. Julia was hugging me and we were screaming our heads off then she lifted me off the ground and swung me around a bit. I was practically unprepared, I almost fell on her. *smiles sheepishly* She released me then I went,"whoa, julia!" Haha:)

today, i saw something i don't see much. because today i saw everything that we were capable of, of playing as a team and not individuals. today i felt again how it felt like to win together, lose together, and still stay as a team. thank you for all the hard work you guys've put in today. thank you for reminding me of my old team.

playing on the court today, i mean. and shooting and cheering. although i didnt manage to go see the cheering comm cheer but its okay! i know you guys did a great job, esp with our two screamers as cheer capts. just make some noise and i love you. hah.so yeah, nothing to be sad about not getting the prize. nothing to be sad about anything. and all you shooters. you shot your best and that's all you do, you get the ball near the net and i love you too. wahahahahahha. and all the people cheering by the sidelines, you definitely made some noise and sparked surprise movements for me because i was tired and i heard you guys screaming. i thought my ears would drop off but im fine.

Hey oneohfour.
tomorrow, is one of the most important days and chances that remain which are within our abilities and decisions to prove ourselves as a class. to prove that we can work with each other and that we are better than them, because we have something between us that pulls us together as a class, and not individuals. i believe that the advantage that makes the netball carnivals lord over dramanite, is that every person who's proud to call herself a oneohfourian will contribute in one way or another, to tomorrow's success. and that is what we require and need to make a mark tomorrow.

i have no doubts about your netball abilities. You guys can jump higher than me, run faster than me, and intercept better than I can. most of the time I am awed by all your moves; they all show different personalities in you that make a team possible. but while you guys are strong physically, you have to be strong mentally too, and perhaps being strong mentally is the key and the something in us that will eventually bring us to success, something that the other classes don't have and we do possess. lijiawei lost the game mentally even before she lost 4-3, because of that korean woman's determination to beat her with every HOAH she screamed her lungs out for. perhaps she was strong physically, endurance, but she couldn't win the battle between her doubts and her confidence and so she lost to her mind. she lost the game because she wasn't as strong as the korean woman mentally, not because she was weak physically. im saying we have to learn from that korean woman. be strong mentally, and no matter how many goals they score, we're gonna be one goal above them, we're not going to let them take control of the game. we're gonna control the game. when they score one we score two. when they score two we score three. but play fair. i'd rather we lose than have anyone not playing fair.

so probably what im saying is, get yourself mentally prepared. we're gonna lose some, we're gonna win some. no matter how many we lose, keep fighting on, because you never know what's going to happen. let's all aspire to be that korean woman who turned the tables around from 3-0. get THEM to start thinking about what you're going to do, and not you try to think what theyre gonna do. tomorrow we're going to be formidable, we're going to be awesome, we're going to be strong, and we're going to be fair. i don't want to see individuals playing on court, i want to see a team that encourages everyone, everyone doing their best for the game. it doesnt matter if we lose, as long as you've done your best, and im proud of you.

Well done oneohfour, I'm so proud to even get to be a oneohfourian this year... I so, so believe that out of the 13 S1 classes in rgs, 104 is the most enthu, talkative and bonded class! Yeah! lol. Anyway, eois are going to be tough, but it will be over quite soon, considering there is one week left...
And I am going to celebrate after that. I seiously hope that we will have our first but not last (I hope) outing right after eois... Maybe on Mon, Tue , or Wed... We could go to Escape or even Wild Wild Wet, but they're so boring... A movie? lol. Anyone got any suggestions, maybe could post... or maybe we could book a two day-one night chalet and Downtown East than we can party and barbecue! lol. I guess we have to book the double-storey one. TODAY: the last official school day.

Looking back, it seems like an ETERNITY since we stepped into the pearly gates of RGS(okay, maybe not pearly). Now, we're standing at this point at the end of the sec 1 year. What have we learnt so far about life and other people? Do we merely absorb the philosophies that we are intended to, or do we form an impression of ourselves on others? Some people have, deeply, left a part of them with me.
How many memories do we treasure? Countless.

I may have ruffled many feathers in the process of my sec 1 year, getting into trouble as well, and lots of other stuff. Have we all? (okay, maybe not trouble.) Some bitter things, we'd like to forget, but others, maybe we should take a step back, reflect, and keep them in our hearts forever.

wow oneohfour. we have come thus far.
it has been a real fulfilling ten months. and now we have our exams. then we celebrate. then we wave our goodbyes.
this year has been really eventful for all of us and i believe it has definitely made a difference in our lives. we've come to know many new friends in the most absurd ways, including (ahem-) watching korean/taiwanese dramas or ghostly appearances in the classroom(you shld know yutan!). and it is really through day by day do we start to grow to love each other and really 'clique' onto each other. good friends are hard to find dearies, treasure the friends you have made in sec one, no matter how important they are to you all now, keep in touch and next time, you might find that actually that friend is 'the friend'.
im really proud of all you guys. i think as a classcomm we definitely failed in some aspects but most most certainly succeeded in this-- to cultivate a bonded class that when anyone feels down, the entire class community is in action just to help our suffering friend, rendering the most help they can give. we cheer for each other. a simple smile/ hug/ joke helps spread our love. we all make mistakes , laugh at laughable teachers , or even hate them but then maybe we should just make full use of what we have with them and learn to love.

Hey, all of you.
Here's a follow up on Cheryl's post about NC(netball carns). I've rearranged the points so that I added in things from outside sources as well like IFNA. Yes.
International Federations of Netball Associations.

Defending

DEFENSIVE POSITIONS:

GK:
-last line of defense for team
-be aware of what is happening out in front
-read attacking team's moves
-good anticipation to take interceptions.

GD:
-prevent GA from getting into the circle
-quite a lot of space to cover
-attacking skills needed to get the ball out of defending third.

WD:
-defend WA.
-defend tightly round the circle and be ready to pounce on any lost balls.
-attack well
-backup role for attackers down court.

DEFENDERS NEED:
Good footwork
move quickly or to catch a high ball
To read the play
anticipate where ball is going
Variety
vary style of defense.try to make the attacker start thinking about what YOU might do and not just their own play.
Perseverance
often you don't reap your hard work til the end of the game. when attackers start making mistakes, credit goes to defenders.

REMEMBER:
If you play in defense you also need to practice attacking to get the ball to the net. Everyone works towards that net.

Attacking

CENTRE COURT POSITIONS
C:
-main link between defenders and shooter.
-controls pace of game
-change quickly from defense to attack
-endurance and speed
-timing of run into areas of court.

WA:
-main feeding player on court
-passing and sprinting, primarily.
-acceleration, speed, quick change of directions needed
- excellent ball handling skills
-quick, accurate decisions
-create space to feed shooters into best shooting positions

ATTACKERS NEED:
Excellent ball skills
it will be a waste of all effort to lose the ball in centre court
Good leading,dodging
get away from your opponent as fast as possible
Endurance
be strong emotionally. doesnt mean youre losing you dont try hard
To change from defending to attacking quickly
centre court is a precarious position when you lose the ball. dont try to save it at the last minute, try to intercept it in centre court.
To support teammates
often shooters and defenders lose heart and concentration when the opponent team is winning. centre courters must show them encouragement and strength

REMEMBER
You are the spiriters of the game. You heave your shoulders, the team heaves her shoulders. You raise your head, she raises her head.

Shooting

SHOOTING POSITIONS
GA and GS
-work well together
-find space in circle all the time
-communication; eye contact, shouting, gestures all are needed in game play
-tough mentally and physically
-concentration essential when shooting
-vary style of game all the time
-vary timing of shot
-defend well
-pressure opposing team all the way down court
-don't worry about missed shots - focus on getting ball back

REMEMBER:
Practice makes perfect. All effort will be wasted if you don't get the ball in.
When shooting; aim, breathe, shoot.

This is the one and only TIENLI here. ONEOHFOUR CANNOT ESCAPE, i already told you. okay. here's a little talk. short and sweet. though it will be a BIT boring.

Have you ever wondered what life would be like in sec 2? who will you be with, what kind of friends will you have, will things change for the better or for worse? Will your best friend follow you there, will you have another best friend,will you forget the past, will you find a better day, will the class environment be suitable for you?

Maybe you don't bother to look that far, but coming from a person who thinks that sec 2 could be better than sec 1, yes, i have thought of all that.

Have you ever been hurt by someone, or done something you regret but never said said sorry?

You won't get a chance if you don't open your mouth fast.

There are certain things that we DO have to reflect on. For us, I guess, we have to treasure every moment we have.

Take care of yourselves and as the days go by in the countdown to the end of term 4, say everything you want to say, and let your friends know how much they mean to you (YOU GUYS MEAN THE WORLD TO ME, k? well MOST of you.) There are certain things you might want to forget, but savour every moment of the good times, and enjoy them while you can.

In just a matter of weeks, 104'06 will be history.
but in our hearts, i think it'll live on.

GS : Goal Shooter – Can move in attacking third and goal circle only
GA : Goal Attack – Can move in the Centre third, attacking third and the goal circle
WA : Wing Attack – Can move in the middle third and attacking third, but not in the goal circle
C : Centre – Can move in all three thirds of the pitch, but not in the goal circles
WD : Wing Defence – Can move in the centre third and defending third only, and not in the goal circle
GD : Goal Defence - Can move in the Centre third, defending third and the goal circle
GK : Goal Keeper - Can move in defending third and goal circle only
If a player goes outside of their area, with or without the ball, they will be offside and a free pass will be awarded to the opposition.

1.1 CENTRE PASS
1.1.1 The Centre in possession of the ball, shall step into the circle, whereby the Umpire’s whistle will be blown.
1.1.2 When the whistle is blown, the ball shall be released within three seconds (Held-Ball Rule) and the player shall not re-ground or displace her landing foot (Footwork Rule).
1.1.3 The Centre Pass shall be caught or touched by any player who:-
(i) is standing in the Centre Third; or
(ii) has landed wholly within the Centre Third.
1.1.4 No other player may catch or touch the Centre Pass without it having been first touched in the Centre Third.
For infringing 1.1.3 and 1.1.4
1.2.1 A Free Pass shall be awarded to the opposing team, to be taken in the Goal / Defence Third where the ball crossed the transverse line.

2.1 PLAYING THE BALL
2.1.1 A player releasing or losing control of a ball may not Replay or Repossess the ball again.
2.1.2 A player not fully on her feet may not in anyway play the ball while lying, sitting or kneeling on the ground, and must release the ball fully standing.
For infringing 2.1.1 and 2.1.2
2.2.1 A Free Pass shall be awarded to the opposing team where the infringement occurred.

3.1 OBSTRUCTION
3.1.1 A player may not interfere with play of an opponent in possession of the ball, if the distance on the ground between either of her feet and her opponent’s landing foot is less than 3 feet (0.9m).
3.1.2 A player may not deliberately interfere with the movement or play of an opponent not in possession of the ball.
For infringing 3.1.1 and 3.1.2
3.2.1 A Penalty Pass or Penalty Pass/ Shot will be awarded to the non-offending team where the infringement occurred.
3.2.2 The offending player needs to be out-of-play, where the infringement occurred, standing beside the player taking the pass or shot, and not interfering until the ball is released.

4.1 CONTACT
4.1.1 No player may come into contact with an opponent.
4.1.2 No player may come into contact with a ball held by an opponent.

For infringing 4.1.1 and 4.1.2
4.2.1 A Penalty Pass or Penalty Pass/ Shot will be awarded to the non-offending team where the infringement occurred.
4.2.2 The offending player needs to be out-of-play, where the infringement occurred, standing beside the player taking the pass or shot, and not interfering until the ball is released.
4.2 m
4.3 Advantage

5.1 CODE OF CONDUCT
5.1.1 Players must not argue with, nor dispute the umpire’s decision.
5.1.2 Players must under any no circumstances use foul language or indulge in name calling.
5.1.3 Players are encouraged to shake hands and apologise for any offence committed in the course of the game.
5.1.4 Teams are encouraged to shake hands before the start of the game and to give three cheers at the conclusion.
5.1.5 Players should play fair and clean games and those who fail to do so will be penalised.

6.1 START OF A GAME
6.1.1 Start of games will be indicated by umpires’ whistles and NOT the siren.
6.1.2 Teams have to be ready on court in their bibs before the siren is sounded.

7.1 GOALS
7.1.1 A goal will only be counted if the ball goes completely over the ring before the end of each game, which is indicated by the umpire’s whistle.
7.1.2 A penalty shot may be taken after the end of a game if the offence was made before the end of the game.

Hi guys, hz here. YES YES HOLIDAY IS HERE!!! Let's take a good rest and prepare us for the last school term. Have fun and relieve stress!!! HAHA ...

Well, I changed the blogskin to this one. I wanted to find one for holiday but there's none worth noticing. Then I stumbled on this one. It is really original and cute. I like its message: Take my hand and never let it go. I'm feeling really bored. It is CCA now and I am blogging while the teacher is talking. Boringboringboringboringboringboringboringboringboring. Anyway, how was the Chinese PT today? Thought it was kinda ok, considering it was a PT afterall... I hate these lessons, so boring... I think I'm gonna quit this next year(hopefully) and join some other cca like library. I love Library, it's a nice cca. You can get to enjoy the air-conditioning and breathe the nice smell of the books... Most importantly, it is quiet there and it doesn't suffer from a teeniest bit of noise pollution.

Today was our group's netball shooting assesment. It was like so scary. And during the practice, I kind of like missed every ball that I shot. Cannot blame me cos' this year was the first time I (not willingly, but I have to still do it cos' it's a P.E module), held a ball and really tried to aim (not aim, maybe shoot. Ok, I admit I didn't even tried to aim...) But I got in 2/5 balls! Hooray!!! I am SO HAPPY!!! Today during assembly was the s****d congress thingy and they kept asking us for suggestions... So easy, just don't give us any PTs lah!!! *urgh*

hi ppl, no need to know hu's here, but well, i just wanna say that stress is really building up at rg, despite we're only sec 1s and ppl seem kinda worn out. OH YES, it's true, yet come to think about it, we would have expected this when we chose to join rg, didnt we? SO let's gather up the remaining limbs and pull through the remaining 3 months. yes yes, it's pull through and not slack da way. haha.

and well, i think we should stay united too. be more iniatiative and know when to be quiet so we wont give liting a hard time. she's undergoing the same stress yet she also need to maitain law and order in we 104. haha, so listen when she'd trying to talk and all. k? and the united thingi, be enthu during class gatherings and inter-class competitions PLEASE!!! we are like one big family in rg and we should be really bonded and all, RITE?? hey, i sound like i'm lecturing. LOL

hihi oneohfourians! i think it's a nice idea to have our own class tee. Can we people have a voting to see who wants to deco a class tee? we can write like a quote on our shirt... yipps, i'm getting excited!! liting, it's $8 for each shirt to be printed or for all including misc stuff?
Anyway, congrats to amelia, liting, dorcas and rachel tan for becoming 1/4's term one student leaders! and tmrw house practice oso got mass dance lo...xD stacey say got important teacher come see us dance and make sure we dance properly...=)

today's performance was WAYY bad. u might feel irritated after reading what i write in this post but i am not going to stop posting just because its not all nice and even if people are gonna get angry with me, read this first and THINK.
not that im criticising u or something, but i think u guys really went too far today. today mdm dewi didnt come and she had 2 blocks. and so yeahhs we people rejoiced (LOL) and then here comes the part where the story gets """interesting""" (goodness me)
just something to say here okays. liting was up there trying to get all your attention to just keep quiet and listen to her and the other people were like talking and talking and doesn't even care about what she's saying. WE WERE THE ONE WHO PICKED HER. so we have to respect her. she is our CHAIRPERSON. 104 CHAIRPERSON. okay?? so 104 has to respect her. 104 has to cooperate with her. she can't be the only one shouting there and u all just yak. get it? didnt u sense she was angry? whoever thinks being the chairperson is an easy job go be 104 chairperson for a day. especially on one of the days like today.liting also has her own work, her job is NOT a nanny. she is not supposed to take care of us like we're babies. we are INDEPENDENT WOMEN (HAHAHAHA) so we have to behave like one. please people, liting also has to do HER work because she is also a student. get it? all of us are students. if u were the one up there screaming today i think u'd feel more.....FED UP than her. she's been v patient and she set up this blog. she's been responsible and she doesnt fail in her jobb. so i think likewise we should respect her. get it or not? sigh. please oneohfour. apologise to her. i am so going to. :(

yeaps. should be this one. looks like only me and liting were hardworking enuff to blog. eveyrone tagged. LOL. but nvms people. we're gonna get used to it. firstly i want to thank everyone in class comm the 4 of them for making everything til today possible KUDOS!! and everyone in 1/4 you all have made contributions in one way or another. ty. done with the boring stuff.

now better check hw. for me, have: eng journal 2 entries plus design cover, sci proj, brainstorm on monday the commonwealth essay, read chapt one maths wb (PS, just read summary as suggested by kath but anyways read everything). tmrws got house prac 7.20 to about 10.30. aft that got register 10-18 meeting for sci proj til approx 1pm. SORRIE GUYS. i cant find vanguard anywhere. sorry!! i'll bring something however. okies then. i'll go and get my precious sleep for all house prac energy tmrw, get ready to get HOT. lol. okies bye now.
